Somehow, someway, YouthBuild New Bedford was burglarized over the weekend.  The program lost 26 Chromebooks, each valued at $249.  Also taken was an iPad and a 55-inch smart TV.

YouthBuild is part of a national network of schools for underperforming high school students.   It's meant to help them earn GEDs, log volunteer hours and receive a Google Chromebook at the end of the school year.

The YouthBuild buildings on Kempton street, and the computer room is on the second floor.  The program's executives think that because who ever stole the equipment knew exactly where to go, that it may have been an inside job.  They plan to file a claim with their insurance company to replace the computers.
