Fall River Dog Found Wandering Cemetery In Need of Loving Family [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! It's time to unite another animal with the perfect forever family.
There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast waiting to go home for good, and with the help of local shelters, we share their stories.
This week, the spotlight belongs to a big, beautiful dog in Fall River that is incredibly special to everyone at Forever Paws Animal Shelter.
Meet Tormund Giantsbane, so aptly named because he is huge. Tormund is an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that was found wandering around a cemetery alone.
"He's a young guy, about a year old or so, and incredibly intelligent," said the shelter.
Before Forever Paws, Tormund didn't know what love was and has become standoffish with strangers. He's been working with a trainer while at the shelter to work on his trust issues, and this training must be continued in his new home.
"Tormund needs to be the only animal in the home," said the shelter. "He's had a rough go of it and we don't want to overwhelm him. He needs to be somebody's one and only and get all of the love and devotion that he so rightfully deserves."
Tormund is a big fan of plush toys and he loves to run around in the yard, which usually results in the zoomies.
This young boy turns into a grumpy old man with new people so it will take multiple meets for this guy to open up to you, but once he does, he's an entirely different dog.
