Watch Out For World Cup Scams

If you are a soccer fan and you're following the World Cup, there are some things you should be aware of to help you stave off any threats of cyber hackers.

Since we live in a day and age with such amazing technology readily at our finger tips, we have become so much more susceptible to attempts at breaches in our security from hackers. Here are some things to keep in mind while you're watching the action on your TV's, tablets, computers and cell phones.

1. Don't buy in to random emails from college friends containing little info about how they went down there and got robbed, needing you to wire money.

2. Watch out for pop-up ads with unusually low prices for memorabilia and souvenirs.

3. Only download official apps that have been advertised for during the games.

4. Be careful to not click on suspect pop-ups advertising free streaming.
