We decided to take a sharp left on our ride home from New Hampshire this past Memorial Day Weekend.

Once we finished up with the kids baseball tournament in New Hampshire on Sunday, we decided that the weather was too nice to waste driving home in the car.  We were 20 minutes from Canobie Lake Park and decided that this would be a perfect way to spend a sunny and 85 degree day.  Let's just say that the kids happily agreed.

Canobie Lake Park is the best, we love it there.  It's the perfect size for an amusement park with plenty of rides and games... and it's clean!  This is huge for me because so many of the parks we've gone to over the years are not so clean and are in fact, downright gross.

If there was just one thing I would love to see at Canobie it would be a "healthy" food restaurant or stand.  There are no healthy food choices unless you consider the side salad at Portofino's healthy?  Don't get me wrong, the candy apples, ice cream and fried dough all have a place at Canobie Lake Park but a healthy option would be a plus.  This way I wouldn't feel as guilty having that ice cream cone if I had a grilled chicken salad for lunch, right?

Even a deli type food place with fresh options like a salad with tuna or grilled chicken to chose from.  Maybe soups and salad combos?  Fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits and veggie bowls would be awesome too.  It's probably just wishful thinking but I bet if enough people offered up this suggestion to the powers that be at Canobie, they just might consider it.
