Remember at the beginning of the pandemic when we realized we finally had time to get to that lingering to-do list? Now that life is slowly going back to normal, how is that to-do list looking?

I’m embarrassed to say that not many items have been checked off my list. Am I the only one?

I decided to bring it up to Michael and Gazelle this morning. I was feeling guilty and had to air it out.

We all agreed that we had set goals last March to finally get around to certain things we had been putting off because “we didn’t have the time,” but I’m starting to think that there’s another reason at play. I’ve been saying for months that I am going to clear out my basement and sell all of the random furniture I have collected over the years. My basement is messier than ever with not a single item sold.

“Okay, I’m guilty too,” admitted Michael. He had started remodeling his master bathroom and painted the walls earlier in the year. He left a gap at the top and bottom of the wall because he planned on using a smaller brush to avoid getting paint on the ceiling and molding. Those gaps remain in the bathroom as a constant reminder every time he uses the bathroom that the job is unfinished.

Why did I allow myself to get side-tracked for an entire year?

"Netflix," Michael said.

I’m excited to see the community slowly going back to the way things were, but it’s making me feel even more guilty about not tackling my to-do list.

Be honest with me, what are some items on your to-do list that you just haven’t gotten around to doing, even though we have had plenty of time to do them? Michael and I can’t be the only ones.
