Listen up muggles, there is a magical camp flying into Tiverton this summer. If your child loves Harry Potter and arts and crafts, this may be a fun idea to keep your little one busy for a week.

Created Purpose is a boutique on Main Road in Tiverton that sells unique and handcrafted products.

“Created Purpose was "created" to inspire, to encourage, to support, to bring people together,” said Krystal Amaral, owner of the boutique.

Created Purpose Boutique is offering several summer day camps that marry arts and crafts with a specific point of interest, and the one that caught my eye was their "Harry Potter Camp." Unfortunately, I’m too old for this, so I wanted to share it with the SouthCoast.

From July 12-16, kids ages six through 12 can explore their appreciation for the arts with a little bit of the wizarding world thrown in at Created Purpose on Turtle Island. Drawing, painting, sewing, and jewelry making are just a few of the fun activities that is listed on the website.

The summer of 2020 was pretty lame for kids. No camps, no little league, no socialization. This summer promises to be much more exciting, and with that, parents will need plenty of ideas to keep the little ones busy. As a personal fan of Harry Potter and all things artsy, I’m almost disappointed that there is no adult version available, but for now, we’ll leave the fun to the children.
