Life in general is a complex equation of algorithms and recipes. If you want to make it in the "Real World" (MTV's Real World, that is...) than all you have to do is follow these steps!

As a finalist for the MTV Show "The Real World", I've seen the behind the scenes look on finding the perfect contestant for the drama-packed reality TV show and know what it takes to make it all the way. If you or your friends/family are interested in casting in the newest season of The Real World... you can CLICK HERE FOR ALL THE INFORMATION but here are the tips that everyone should know if you want to make it to the top:

Go single or go home:

Thinking back to the day I was interviewed to become one of the lucky seven people to star in the currently 31st season (currently casting for the 32nd), I made the biggest mistake that evidently was most likely the reason I was never chosen: I told them I was dating someone at the time. That's a HUGE "No-No" in that game. The producers are always looking for juicy controversy on the show and if that means random "casual meetings" between cast members to boost ratings, then all baggage should be left at home.

Be eccentric, be DIFFERENT:

Originality will always win in any situation. There's no need to worry about being someone else or mimicking past cast members from season's 1-31, just be yourself. The more "outside of the box" sort of mindset that you have, the better. America is constantly on the prowl for new forms of entertainment. Use your uniqueness to your advantage!

Don't be afraid to bare it all:

This sounds strange, but it's the truth. MTV is always looking to spice up the show, so don't be afraid to bare it all. If that means showing off those sassy tattoos in places you'd never show anybody... than DO IT! The sexier the better (This applies to both parties, men and women).

Throw away all shyness:

MTV will be asking you a series of questions throughout the casting process that will make you shake your head with shameless and embarrassment. Every single thing that you have ever done in life, even single experience whether it's with a boyfriend or a girlfriend or even embarrassing moments... MTV wants to know. This allows the producers to spice up the show with a little dirt here and there if things start to go dry during the filming process. Let's just say this... If you have done something that relates to the question asked (i.e. Have you ever received a tattoo on your buttock- I would answer yes, followed by a description of the tattoo and why I got it).

Life experiences:

This is where you can finally use your bragging rights. If you have ever received a once-in-a-lifetime experience that would bring about jealousy or make someone envious, then make sure you mention these hot topics to the casting recruiters. They are always looking for background material that defines who you are and what you have achieved in your lifetime.

Lose your self-dignity

Sadly, this is true. Considering the fact that this is clearly an adult show (hence the strong 21+ only to try out rule), make sure you realize who's watching you. Anyone such as your family members, your friends, your past relationships and even your community will most likely be watching you become a star, but things have gone wrong in the past. No matter what happens on the show in general, you will have to carry the burden no matter where you go from there on out. Let's just say that the whole "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" saying doesn't apply when you have dozens of cameras and crew filming and watching your every move.

MOST IMPORTANTLY- Go in with a BANG!:

First impressions mean everything. As you await in line to meet with the recruiters for the very first time, you will be placed into a room with an estimated 10-15 people at a time. Keep in mind that everyone is there for a reason and that's to win, so make sure you outshine the rest of the people in your group. Make your voice heard when spoken to, don't be quiet or tense. Be funny! Comedy is always a plus for ratings so MTV will b looking for all the "funnies" out there. Last but not least, be yourself. This brings us back to the originality section, but it's the truth. The show is constantly changing and so are the contestants because MTV knows who will make them look good, so give it your all, but try not to be too fake or become someone you're not.

Good luck to all who apply and don't forget to look your best, act your best and be your best.
