Believe it or not, there is still an active Blockbuster in the country, and its latest news has people buzzing.

Ken and Debbie Tisher have been operating their store in Bend, Oregon since 2000, back when a typical Friday night consisted of couples strolling down aisles lined with VHS tapes of the latest movies.

Nowadays, the store acts as a tourist attraction for people all around the country, but due to the pandemic, visits are at an all-time low, so the owners are getting creative and opening Blockbuster for a '90s-themed sleepover they are dubbing “The End of Summer Sleepover.”

Sandi Harding, the manager of the store, posted to Airbnb to tell the world about how you and three friends could rent Blockbuster for a night.

“Whether you want to stay up until sunrise or pass out on the couch, we’ve created the perfect space complete with a pull-out couch, bean bags and pillows for you to cozy up with ‘new releases’ from the ‘90s," she wrote.

Harding ensures that the store will be cleaned prior to your arrival in accordance with Airbnb’s cleaning protocol as set by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and face coverings, disinfectant wipes, and endless hand sanitizer will be provided.

Enjoy a trip down memory lane for an evening. Binge your favorite rom-coms, eat all the popcorn you want, get the high score on their arcade games, and experience Blockbuster in all its glory with your closest friends.

These days, the support of the community keeps this Blockbuster open, and here is what the crew had to say:

“Our BLOCKBUSTER store is open because of the incredible local community in Bend, and we’ve been grateful to have the support of those beyond our town as the coronavirus pandemic has impacted our business. To celebrate and pay it forward in this tradition of support, Airbnb will make a donation to the Humane Society of Central Oregon, a longtime partner of ours.”

I was born in 1993, so even though I was young, I enjoyed Blockbuster in its prime. That store gave me and my friends so much joy. I can only imagine what it would be like to have the store all to ourselves in our 20s. I have a feeling Clueless would be on repeat.
