Looking for a way to help others and get some shopping done this holiday season? Check out the Fall River Christmas Stroll on November 16th.

You'll be able to eat, shop, and just have fun with over 50 vendors and other businesses while you help those in need at the same time. The event takes place at Our Lady of Light Band and Banquet Facility at 664 Quarry Street, Fall River from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Christmas Stroll benefits Saturday’s Kitchen in Fall River, who provides meals and clothing to many people throughout the city. Around this time of year, Joe Primo and his wife will serve over 100 people every other Saturday at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Purchase Street, so any help we can get them is greatly appreciated.

So how does shopping help Saturday's Kitchen? Well, to get in you don't have to pay an admission fee, but you do have to donate a non-perishable food item.

You'll also have the opportunity to drop off an unwrapped toy to be donated to Mission Hope. Your gift will provide a child with an awesome present this holiday season. Last year, Mission Hope was able to provide over 40 local homeless and needy families with warm clothes, gifts, and other essentials, and they'll need even more help this year.

Some of the vendors to be there include Eastside Chiropractic Center, Studio Painting, Fashion Paws Boutique and Bakery, Brielle’s Boutique, Clutch Boutique, One Post Road Bath Company, The Chocolate Orchard, New England Folk Artist, Skip Desrosiers Photography, Silver City Soapworks, Jewelry in Candles and Jewelinga. There are representatives from Scentsy, Pampered Chef, It Works, Avon, Lia Sophia, Jamberry Nails, Younique, Athena Spa, Norwex, Mary Kay, Origami Owl, Ava Anderson, Thirty One, Tastefully Simple, Silpada, Arbonne, Tupperware and Celebrity Homes. Many other individual crafters and artisans with products such as jewelry, children’s clothing, men’s gifts, gift baskets and much more.

At 12 p.m., children will get the chance to visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and even Elsa from the movie Frozen. If that wasn't enough, the Durfee High School Orchestra will also be there playing beautiful holiday music to help put you in the holiday spirit.

So be sure to check out this great cause and have fun doing it!
