On August 25th, Laurie Sylvia of Fairhaven passed away after contracting EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) just eight days prior.

Thanks to the generosity of you, our listeners, and the help from our local advertisers, we were able to raise over $5,000 to help Kelly and her family.

Kelly is a single mom from New Bedford with two kids going through a lot right now.

What a great feeling to know that 'Papa' Gracia and his two children will be spending Christmas together with help from the SouthCoast community.

The Gracia Family is currently in a homeless situation and unfortunately not all living together.
