Holiday Wish: New Bedford Mother Gets Showered with Love [VIDEO]

It was quite the morning here on The Rock & Fox Show with Day 2 of Holiday Wish.

Kelly Allain, a single mother of two from New Bedford, is having quite a tough time these days. Between battling cancer throughout her body and struggling with providing food for herself and her family, she's sadly drowning in stress.

However, thanks to the generosity of you, our listeners, and the help from our local advertisers, we were able to raise over $5,000 to help Kelly and her family. Those donations included:

– National EMS Institute, Dance Fusion in Tiverton, Andrew's Fruit and Produce in Fall River, and Hair in Motion in New Bedford each donated a generous $500.

– The owner at Turk's Seafood donated another pair of his personal Boston Celtics tickets that went up for auction, raising almost $600.

– Anna Mello, a listener who works over at Espirito Santos School in Fall River, gave Kelly $1,000 to help with her rent and groceries.

– Finally, through the generosity and caring through our text line, donations were flowing all morning long to add towards the $5,000.

In the end, all this money and gift cards to go shopping that will be very helpful for Kelly and her two kids, all because of the love and care from the good people of the SouthCoast.
