The Dartmouth mansion otherwise known as Gulf Hill Dairy Farm has finally sold after years on the market.

Back in 2019, Gazelle first shared the listing for the unique home.

The original Gulf Hill Dairy Farm was founded in 1896, making this barn part of an estate dating back 127 years.

The home has been updated and outfitted with modern appliances added as part of the transformation from 19th-century dairy farm to luxury real estate, explaining why it went on the market for nearly $3 million.

Its biggest allure for me is the fact that it sits on 1.8 acres of land on Masthead Lane overlooking Padanaram Harbor. Or maybe it's the stone fireplace. It could also be the 12-car garage this bad boy has, even though I could barely afford one car after the mortgage payment I'd have to make every month.

Clearly someone of means bought this dream estate and being the nosey person I am I had to find out. I reached out to Team ROSO at Re/Max Vantage for some info and we'll update this story if we get it.

Let's just review the many things this mansion has to offer. Aside from four bedrooms, it has four-and-a-half bathrooms and a green house. I could go on, but here are some pictures of what $2.5 million can get you in Dartmouth so you can see for yourself.

It was built around 1790 and belonged to the prominent Howland family for many years. Now this home at 966 Smith Neck Road in Dartmouth is back on the market for $6.9 million. It's certainly much more than the original owners would have spent on it, but it's not too hard to imagine how those original owners lived.
