It goes without saying that there is a labor crisis happening both here on the SouthCoast and across America. Virtually every single business on the SouthCoast is hiring. The problem is that even though these SouthCoast businesses are hiring, no one is actually getting hired. No one wants the jobs being offered.

It seems that salary and signing bonuses aren't enough to recruit new people. Employers are doing cartwheels to try to impress potential employees into joining their companies – and they are failing.

It got us wondering, where are the locations that employ the most people here on the SouthCoast? If place like Domino's Pizza are offering $22 an hour plus mileage to deliver their food, what will businesses that employ thousands of people going to have to do to draw the attention of workers?

We turned to the website called zippia.com to find out a majority of the figures used in the following list. The zippia information was drawn from data on salaries, company financial help, and diversity of employees. Data for the several businesses that weren't on the zippia.com list where found by reaching out directly to the local organizations.

Because we found it interesting, in addition to this list of SouthCoast businesses with the most employees, we included the top three employers in the entire Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Rounding out the top five were Stop & Shop and National Amusements, the company that owns and operates Showcase Cinemas.

Here's hoping all of the businesses on the SouthCoast are able to meet their staffing needs as soon as possible.
