Pilot Dies In Small Plane Crash On Cuttyhunk Island

A small plane crashed into a tree on Cuttyhunk Island Wednesday morning.   The pilot,  70-year-old Allen Spaulding of Wilmington, Delaware was killed.   It's reported that Spaulding spent a lot of time on Cuttyhunk and was well known to local residents.  There were no other passengers on the plane when it went down.
