Rob Gronkowski Buys Namesake Derby Horse
Perhaps it's part of his retirement plan, cause Gronk has officially purchased Gronk.
Gronkowski is entering the world of horse racing after buying stake in a horse headed for the Kentucky Derby, fittingly named Gronk.
Many Patriots players have been fans of horse racing, attending the Derby year after year, but this seem to be the first player to actually hold stake in one of the horses running the historic race.
Horse Gronk is already a winner too.
The thoroughbred won the Burradon Stakes in England last month.
If he goes on to win at the Kentucky Derby, the Gronk team would win $2 million.
Clearly Rob Gronkowski has got some money making plans in the works, though whether or not the are to replace his New England Patriots salary remains to be seen.
You can watch horse Gronk run in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday May 5 on NBC starting at 2:30 p.m.
