Rumors are running wild after Gronk missed the first Patriots voluntary off-season practice on Monday.

Key word there is probably voluntary, but people are already freaking out with news that tight end Rob Gronkowski was not at the first off-season practice held Monday April 16th.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, it was known that Gronk would be a no-show for the practice. And according to him it is in fact because the tight end is still considering whether or not he wants to play in the 2018 season.

Okay, I guess we can kind of freak out now.

Gronk reportedly has "good communication" with the team and they were aware he'd be passing on the practice.

This clearly shows the Patriots organization and fans how serious he is about a possible retirement, because Gronk actually has a $250,000 bonus in his contract that only gets paid to him if he appears at 90 percent of the voluntary practices.

That's a lot of money to leave on the table if you ask me.

Also notably absent from this first practice was QB Tom Brady.

Fans can worry less about this one as Tom is clearly on a family vacation/business trip in Qatar.
