Road Trip Worthy: Ramblewild’s Canopy Walk
Looking for something active and fun for the kids this summer? Ramblewild’s Tree-to-Tree Adventure Park in Lanesborough is an amazing aerial ropes course for ages 7 and up.
Sound dangerous? Don't worry! According to Only in Your State, Participants are given a grounds class first to teach them to deal comfortably with the harness and ample safety gear they will be using in the tree-tops. Even if you slip, the harness and buckle will catch you.
The aerial course covers 1,400 acres of land with zip lines, rope ladders, suspended bridges, high wires, and so much more.
The courses range widely, from double black dimond for experienced climbers to yellow trails for beginners. However, these are not danger ratings, but difficulty only.
Trails generally take about 30 to 45 minutes to finish, so you can take breaks, or take on 3 or 4 trails in one visit.
Don't feel like climbing? Spectators are welcome on the ground as well :)
The Ramblewild climbing experience is $69 for adults with discounted prices for kids and teenagers.
Reservations are required 24 hours in advance.
