Resort Cancels Ten Weddings

Weddings are stressful in nature. There are so many different things to plan, sometimes a really strict timeline, and there may be points that you just want to throw your hands up and say “forget it, let’s elope.” Well, imagine juggling all that “common” stress and adding a real wrench in your plan…the venue you booked months ago CANCELS your wedding. With less than 8 months until showtime. Cue the panic attacks!

According to WMUR-TV, Attitash Mountain Resort in Bartlett, New Hampshire notified ten soon-to-be-wed couples that their nuptials will no longer take place at the resort and they’ll be refunding the deposits. Attitash, under new management, says it “severely regrets that the guests are being put in this unfortunate situation.”

Samantha Lary will not be getting married at the Bartlett hotel in September. Her parents are in shock and I’m sure that’s an understatement, especially since the resort didn’t immediately give them a specific reason for the cancellation.

Pretty sure that if this happened to me I would find a corner and curl up in the fetal position. These brides and grooms are SCRAMBLING to find another venue on such short notice and will have to accommodate s best they can. Best of luck to these couples. May the odds be ever in your favor.
