Disney World may be states away, but there is an exciting substitute that is waiting for you just miles away at the Boston Museum of Science that will have your inner child coming alive.

Get ready for the "Science Behind Pixar," a new exhibit coming to the museum this Sunday, July 26. Immerse yourself in the world of all of your favorite characters and fall in love with your favorite movies all over again.

I don’t care how old I get, Pixar movies will always excite me just as much as the first time I watched Toy Story. Every Pixar movie offers joy, adventure, raw emotion, and now, fans can see a behind-the-scenes look at the production process.

According to the museum’s website, this interactive exhibit “shows you the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts used by the artists and computer scientists who bring Pixar’s award-winning films to the big screen.” Prepare yourself and your Pixar-fan counterparts for an interactive experience with engaging activities.

Here’s my favorite part: we get a chance to meet our favorite characters, like Buzz Lightyear and Sully! I hope I don’t get too star-struck.

Pixar has managed to create a fan base that reaches multiple demographics, from young to old. My two-year-old nephew, my mother, and I will all get joy out of visiting this exhibit.

Treat your children and yourself to this new adventure that awaits at the Museum of Science.
