For the second day in a row, the three beaches in the city of New Bedford are closed to swimming.   The health Department says they found high levels of bacteria in samples taken from the water late yesterday.    The testing was done because of the heavy rains that hit the area on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Another round of testing will be done later today East Beach, West beach, and Fort Taber Beach.   If the level are safe, swimming will be allowed on Thursday.
