New Bedford Store Clerk Fights Back

It happened Friday during an attempted hold-up at the Quick Pic on Cottage Street.  New Bedford cops say when 25-year-old Rashid Hazard tried to rob the store, the clerk grabbed a baseball bat and started shoving Hazard.   But then, the would-be robber grabbed the bat and began shoving the clerk.   Hazard then ran out of the store and the clerk chased after him.   the suspect was later arrested and has been charged.
