If you're looking to make a difference in the lives of local veterans, here's a fitness challenge that will test your cardio and strength for a great cause.

The fifth annual Mission 22K Row, Ski 22K, or Bike 44K, hosted by the New Bedford chapter, will be a great opportunity for teams to participate in a challenging and rewarding fitness event.

With options to either row, ski or bike, it caters to different preferences and abilities.

Scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 11, the event is structured into two heats. The first will start bright and early at 8 a.m., setting the tone for a productive day. The second heat follows at 10 for those who want a later start.

The event takes place at Ergfit New Bedford, 127 West Rodney French Blvd.

As participants gear up for this much-anticipated event, the New Bedford chapter of Mission 22 reminds everyone that while the challenge is physical, the spirit is communal. Whether rowing against the tide, skiing toward the finish line or biking through the last kilometer, every stroke, stride, and pedal contributes to a larger cause— promoting fitness, unity and community engagement.

Mission 22 says it's in a war against veteran suicide. The organization provides support to veterans and their families through outreach and events.
