Mustard-Flavored Ice Cream? Yeah, It’s a Thing
You heard it right, French's is rolling out mustard-flavored ice cream.
“I scream, you scream, wait...mustard ice cream?” reads French's homepage. French’s has partnered with Coolhaus to develop a mustard-flavored ice cream to be available in a few cities this summer.
Not going to lie, I'm kinda excited about it. I'm a foodie at heart and after sampling lobster ice cream on Martha's Vineyard, I'm willing to give this odd and absurd new flavor a try.
August 3 was National Mustard Day, and after 115 years of using mustard, this concept came to fruition. Earlier this week, French’s announced it would be unveiling this eccentric yellow ice cream to both New York and Los Angeles for a limited time.
If you're not willing to make the trek to NYC or L.A., don't worry; French's released the recipe online so you can whip it up at home whenever you want. If you decide to give it a whirl, send us a video of you sampling the mustard through the "Submit Video" button on the Fun 107 app.
French’s said it will also be serving the ice cream with a pretzel cookie. I'm still secretly hoping that the sampling goes well that way we can see it on shelves in our local grocery store.
