Good news, movie lovers, MoviePass is making a comeback.

MoviePass is the only movie theater subscription that lets you see any movie at any theater for one low price, and you’ll be able to use MoviePass at several SouthCoast theaters.

What is MoviePass?

MoviePass launched in 2011, offering unlimited movies to all users for just $10. After the company went bankrupt in 2019, CEO Stacy Spikes knew some changes had to be made.

Subscribers will now be able to choose from four different tiers, ranging from $10 to $40 a month, giving all subscribers access to over 4,000 theaters.

Each tier offers a select number of movies and credits.

“Each month, you're going to get a certain amount of credits," Spikes told Good Morning America. "You [can] go to matinees or things where you can use fewer credits and then if you say, 'I really want to go Friday or Saturday night,' you're going to use more credits there. And each month, they replenish, and if there's a month you don't go to the movies, your credits just roll over."

The MoviePass subscription is for those who do not want to be confined to just one theatre. Spikes told GMA, “If you want the freedom to go wherever you want and find the same value, then you’re going to want something like MovePass.”

The return of MoviePass is just another sign that the world is coming alive, once again, and looking to return to theaters to catch the latest box office hit at an affordable price.
