More Gigantic Trolls Are Coming to Rhode Island
Rhode Island's 'Troll Trail' is growing.
The recycled wood trolls that debuted in the Ocean State last year have been such a huge success (no pun intended), that more are being planned - and in new locations.
Currently both of the larger-than-life trolls from Danish artist Thomas Dambo are in Ninigret Park in Charlestown, but soon the trail of trolls will be extend to other Rhode Island towns.

If you haven't been to Ninigret Park to see these massive works of art, definitely make plans to do so. The towering trolls dubbed Erik Rock and Greta Granit, sit on easy to walk trails and are 100% worth the trip.
But soon a trip to find trolls could mean seeing even more than the two Rhode Island has right now.

That's because new grants to the South County Tourism Council and the town of North Kingstown were recently awarded through the state and call for two more Thomas Dambo trolls to be developed.
The exact location of the North Kingstown troll remains unknown right now, though the towns does have great hiking trails at Ryan Park and a beautiful waterfront nature preserve at John C Chafee Rome Point Preserve.

A second troll will be arriving in South County Rhode Island as well, though locations could be anywhere in Exeter or Richmond. Both of those towns have numerous parks and trails as well, so the possibilities seem endless.
No date for the new troll arrivals has been given either. Considering Dambo built 16 new trolls in 2024 and appears to constantly be working on more, it all depends on when his schedule will bring him back to Rhode Island to complete the state's 'Troll Trail.'
Luckily we have plenty of amazing Dambo pieces to enjoy while we wait, keep scrolling to see some of his most iconic works.
