Michael Rock’s Lawnmower In Flames [AUDIO]

As you heard on this morning's show, my lawnmower burst into flames yesterday while I was in the middle of mowing my lawn.

I ran in the house to look for a fire extinguisher and found out that we don't have one.  Grabbed a shovel in the garage, ran back outside and starting piling dirt onto the flames when I heard my 5 year old boy's voice.

"I can help you, Daddy," he said, standing there wearing safety goggles and a plastic toy shovel.  "Get away!" I yelled, picturing an explosion scene from CHIPS.  After the fire was under control, I looked over and saw my wife through the window shaking her head.  The lawnmower remains at ground zero at this hour.
