Michael Rock Reads At East Fairhaven School

I had the pleasure of being invited to be a guest reader at Mrs. Thomas' third grade class at the East Fairhaven School. I told them about how important reading is to education. I also shared with them a deal that my mother and I had when I was in elementary school. My bedtime was "lights out" at 8 o'clock, unless I wanted to read an extra half hour until 8:30. Sometimes, I would get CRAZY and read past 8:30...and she would pretend not to notice. It was a pretty good scheme on my mother's part.
