According to new research data from SpokeO.com, Massachusetts leads the nation as the very best state to be single.  Meaning, if you are single and are looking for love, you're going to find it easiest right here.

One of the biggest factors is that there are a ton of people in Massachusetts who have never been married.  Nearly 38% of Massachusetts residents over the age of 15 have never been married.  Not sure why they chose the age of 15 as the benchmark, but regardless, there are a lot of single people walking around out there.

The Bay State also ranks very low for romance scams.  Only 3.74 in 100,000 Massachusetts residents have fallen victim to a scam.  With a number that low, it can encourage you to let yourself fall in love without a fear of getting conned.  There's always the threat of a scam, but statistically speaking you should be good to go here in Massachusetts.

The site also identifies mental health as a critical indicating factor of healthy relationships.  There is a whopping 735 mental health providers per 100,000 Massachusetts residents.  Having so many mental health providers readily available to the population can really affect the wellbeing of the potential pool of romantic partners.

The research also recognized that there are a lot of fun things to do in and around Boston and throughout Massachusetts.  This can certainly help during the courting phase.  Whether it's a trip to Fenway for a baseball game, a stop at the Museum of Fine Arts, or a nice Italian meal in the North End, there is plenty to do in Boston proper.
