Marlena Johnson Moves Onto The Next Round Of “American Idol”

Former Miss New Bedford Marlena Johnson fumbled a couple of times last night, but managed to make it to the next round of 'American Idol'.

Marlena had a challenging time with the group round this week on 'American Idol'.  After one member of her group, Sistas, left them...the struggles continued as they scrambled to find the required third member of their group.  Granted, it's not unlikely that the drama was slightly played up by producers of the Fox show.

What wasn't played up, though, were Marlena's challenge remembering some of the words to "Staying Alive by the Bee Gees.  The BCC student made up for it by her stage presence...and the trio got accolades from the judges.

Marlena has moved to the next round of American Idol.
