As cleanup continues from the Blizzard of '26, the SouthCoast rolls on with many coming together to help their neighbors in need, including one Marion restaurant.

"We know many of our neighbors and fellow businesses are still waiting for power to come back, and we’re thinking of all of you," Cast Seaside Bites & Bar recently posted.

The Marion restaurant, known for its Latin-inspired cuisine, shared the heartfelt message on its Facebook page.

"We’re opening our doors. Not just as a restaurant, but as a place for our community to land for a bit," the restaurant posted.

While many were continuing to dig out and wait for power to return, Cast's ownership realized how grateful they were to keep the lights and the stove on. "We’re just grateful we can be here today and take care of whoever needs it," according to the post.

It was a touching gesture that welcomed their neighbors with open arms.

"If you’re cold, stressed, without power, or just need a hot meal and a familiar face… come in," the post read.

"Charge your phone, sit down, take a breath, have something warm to eat or drink. No pressure, just a place to feel normal for a little while," Cast posted.

Community Support During Power Outages

During a time when stress is high and some roads remain untouched – and when it feels as though you won’t see your lawn for months – it’s nice to know that there are plenty of folks in the community looking out for one another.

"Stay safe, take care of each other, and if you need us — we’re here," Cast concluded.
