It seems like a story line from a movie, but a Georgia man really did find a baby on the side of the highway today.

Bryant Collins was headed to help a stranded car on the side of Highway 72 when as he told Atlanta's 11 Alive,

"I had seen something out of the corner of my eye and I thought it was a baby. I just stopped and there was a baby … almost in the highway."

I can't imagine what that sight must have felt like. I'm pretty sure I would have had a moment of panic for that child before slamming over to the side of the road and grabbing them.

Perhaps that is exactly what happened for Collins cause he did in fact immediately stop, scoop up the infant and call 9-1-1.

But as the news channel found out it took over two hours for emergency personnel to arrive, which honestly blows my mind. Equally astounding is that the 15-month-old girl had crawled almost 300 yards from her house, through the woods and out to the highway. Scary!

The young girl's father has been arrested and 11 Alive reports that her mother may face charges as well. As for Collins he says he is just happy he was able to be in the right place at the right time to perhaps save this little girl's life.
