New Bedford Police have arrested a man who posed as a Comcast employee to get into people’s home in order to steal their valuables.

Twenty-six year old Corey Reul of New Bedford was found in a Dartmouth Motel on Tuesday morning and was arrested without incident.

Captain Steven Vincente alleges that the suspect stole jewelry from a home on Winsor Street last month while working as a sub-contractor for Comcast. According to police, Reul also stole a wallet on June 1st from a home on Caswell Street after posing as a cable repairman.

Reul has been charged with larceny and larceny under false pretenses and will be arraigned in New Bedford District Court.

Police are continuing an investigation and ask that anyone with information on this case is asked to call Detectives at 508-991-6300 ext. 131, or leave an anonymous tip at 508-961-4584.
