Labor Day Weekend Fun At The Fairhaven Festa

It's been a tradition for many years in Fairhaven's north end and every year is filled with fun for the whole family.

The Feast of Our Lady Of Angels got underway on Saturday in Fairhaven and runs through Labor Day Monday.

A traditional, weekend-long Portuguese “festa” that has something for everyone in your family; live music, game booths, delicious Portuguese and American foods, cool auctions and many kids’ activities.  They'll have a blast!  It all happens at Our Lady of Angels Feast Grounds, 7 Jesse St. in Fairhaven.

The festa continues today (Sunday) starting at 12 noon and goes all day and into tonight, wrapping up at midnight!  On Monday, the feast runs from 12 noon til 10 pm and at 1:00 p.m. the procession is held from St. Mary’s Church to Benoit Square and back featuring marching bands, clergy, local officials and invited guests. The carved wooden statue of Our Lady of Angels is carried along the route on the shoulders of members of the club.  Grab your friends and make it an extra fun Labor Day weekend at the feast :)
