I'm definitely enjoying the wedding planning process with my finacée, but most folks think it's weird that I'm a guy and am this involved.

When it comes to a wedding, everyone's focus is on the bride, and rightfully so. She's the princess, the queen, the focus for the day. What the bride wants, the bride gets. That's the way we all look at weddings. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but that puts all the pressure on the bride to make all the decisions.

Weddings are a lot of work and when I say a lot I mean A LOT. There's so much planning and so many decisions to be made. Also, there is a groom. There is someone else getting married. They should be a part of the process too, if you ask me.

I know I've actively been a big part of our wedding planning process and I think it's been a lot of fun. I think by really taking in BOTH of our opinions we've managed to come up with some really fun ideas. I think we've come up with great ways to represent ourselves and each other.

I think it's made the process more fun, more interesting and more beneficial for both of us, but for some reason, everyone thinks it's weird. Guys think it's weird that I care this much. Girls think it's strange that I'm this willing to be involved. Is it really that crazy?

Fellas, let me tell you, be a part of your wedding. It's about your bride, yes, but it's also about you both as a couple taking the next step. Don't be afraid to get in there and have fun with it.
