Watch out, Couto brothers. If this radio thing doesn't work out, I just might come calling.

Over Christmas break, I bought a new mirror medicine cabinet to hang in our renovated bathroom. You might have thought that vacation would be the perfect time to complete a job like this, but you thought wrong.

Typical Michael; it was the type of job that was intimidating to me. When I bought the medicine cabinet, I was thinking I'd ask the guys that renovated the bathroom to hang it for me, but it slipped my mind and the job was completed before I even bought it.

Now, I faced something that for most people would be no big deal. For me, though, home improvement projects are my fatal flaw. Need me to make business calls for things around the house? I've got you. Need someone to run errands or go to the grocery store?  I'm your guy. Need a job does that involves a hammer or a power tool? Houston, we have a problem.

I always feel like if I try to do a job like this it'll end up costing me more. I'm always worried that I'll break it or screw it up so that I'll have to buy a new mirror and then hire someone to come and install it (again).

My wife, on the other hand, makes up for my deficiency in a big way. She can do just about anything. She's fearless when it comes to jobs like this.

I'm happy to report, though, that I installed this medicine cabinet without the help of anyone. It is level and square and already in use.

I'm not going to lie, this was definitely out of my comfort zone. This is a big win for a guy like me.
