Imagine being surrounded by two amazing things: tacos and money.

Ladies and gentlemen, you have read that title correctly and no, it's not fake news, it's a futuristic sneak preview of Taco Bell's employment standards.

What may sound like the salary for a manager of an upscale restaurant can be your salary by being a general manager at Taco Bell.

Now, I've gone ahead and done the heavy lifting for all you SouthCoasters, in search of any Taco Bell in need of someone to fill a management position. I called up each location and lo and behold, the North Dartmouth Taco Bell is currently looking to hire people who are looking for a management-level occupation.

In order to thrive in the increasingly tough U.S. labor market, the company is thinking that offering the large salary will attract workers and help to keep them on the team. The salary will be tested in select restaurants in the Midwest and Northeast. The current salary for a general manager at Taco Bell is between $50,000 and $80,000. The company is also offering a role that has more responsibilities but is not given the title of manager.

While fast food jobs have historically been low-paying, this is a very good example of how the extremely low unemployment rate is affecting fast food chains. Since many people get their first job in the fast food industry, the company hopes to retain workers in the field. The unemployment rate has fallen to 3.5 percent while the average hourly earnings have jumped higher than projections.

So, if you enjoy Taco Bell and of course a nice fat paycheck, then take advantage of Taco Bell's latest proposition and become a manager today.

Good luck and God speed.
