With the introduction of the Sony Playstation 4, and XBox One game consoles that will be out later in the year, Google has decided to jump on the video game console bandwagon.

According to the Wall Street Journal, games that run on Android software have proved particularly popular on mobile devices and tablets, and they are growing more quickly than games made for the big-name consoles supplied by Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo.

Right now, Google is keeping a close eye on a gaming console that runs on Android that's being sold for $99. We'll see if and when they'll move forward and be a big competitor in the gaming world.
