The Farmer's Almanac has released their predictions for the upcoming winter and you're going to want a warm coat.

Every year the Farmer's Almanac tells us their winter outlook before summer is even over. And this year they are calling for a wild winter.

According to their early predictions there are going to be a lot of ups and downs when it comes to temperatures and some of the downs could get seriously bitterly cold.

Calling for a cold winter in New England is never much of a stretch if you ask me and after the last couple of winters we've had neither is saying there will be lots of ups and downs in the temperatures.

Pretty sure we've had 70 degree days the last two Februaries.

Much as they did last year, the Farmer's Almanac is warning New Englanders of a colder than normal winter with the coldest dips around the end of January through early February.

Sounds about right to me.

We'll also see a good amount of snow with above average precipitation called for this winter. We should see lots of those wintry mix days too with more sleet and slush than real accumulation.

Again nothing new for us, right? Sounds like every winter around here if you ask me.
