Role Reversal: Gazelle’s Wife Got Him Flowers and This Was His Reaction
For the first time, someone bought me flowers when I was having a tough day.
That person is my wife. She just gave me a couple of dozen more reasons to love her more than I already do.
I've always been the one to gift flowers, so being on the receiving end is new territory for me. Now I understand the power of a bouquet to lift someone's spirits. Just like that, the little things bothering me were no longer a burden.
It fills my heart with joy knowing that even after four years, my wife never ceases to amaze me. Every time I think I know her, she surprises me with the sweetest gestures. It's our love language and I'm the luckiest guy in the world.
I've always thought it unorthodox for a woman to buy a man flowers, but the more I think about it, why the hell not? There aren't (and shouldn't be) any rules stating that men can't be on the receiving end of flowers.
Sure, I buy my wife flowers occasionally, and when I do it's always her favorite kind: gas station flowers. She's the least materialistic person I know and since she's the financially responsible one in the relationship, knowing I didn't spend an arm and a leg on floral arrangements, it's a win-win. It's safe to say that saving money is her love language.
Even after a long and tiresome day, I'm overjoyed and immensely blessed to have a loving wife like mine. Her unwavering support, kindness and affection make every moment special. Our journey is filled with laughter, understanding glances and a deep, comforting love that lights up my life.
She is my happiness and gifting flowers is now a two-way road.
Thank you, beautiful.
