If you missed the live Instagram interview I had last Friday with Why Don't We, I've got you covered.

From the couch of my house, I set up my phone and live-streamed a sit-down with one-fifth of the band, Corbyn Besson. I'm starting to get to the age where technology is slowly slipping and surpassing my overall basic knowledge on how to work certain things. For instance, I've never used Instagram's platform to go live for anything and could clearly be seen struggling from the get-go.

The group's other members – Daniel Seavey, Jonah Marais, Jack Avery, and Zach Herron – were not present during the interview, but I've met them previously when they visited New Bedford one time for a meet-and-greet and live performance in The Vault at Greasy Luck.

One thing I admire about the guys is that they write and co-produce their own music. That to me has become a rarity these days, quite brilliant if I do say so. Why Don't We debuted back in 2016 and worked their way to the top of the charts with three billion global career streams, 670 million YouTube views, 4.9 million Instagram followers (and growing) and has even worked with some of the best in the business such as Macklemore and Ed Sheeran.

When they're not performing and playing music, they're being interviewed on major television networks and creating hit songs such as their latest, "Fallin'":

Now playing on Fun 107, I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed with the way this song vibes and sounds. The background drums compliment the adrenaline that this creates and really reminds me of my earlier days of dating. “I can feel the rush of adrenaline” brings back nostalgic feelings of the rush, the crush, and the fearlessness of being young and in love.

As always, when I get the opportunity to go one-on-one with a group or an artist, I enjoy getting to know who they are outside of music with a few unorthodox questions. Here's what I asked Corbyn:

Gazelle: Socks or no socks when going to bed?

Corbyn: No socks.

Gazelle: What is your “go-to” cologne?

Corbyn: Jimmy Choo "Man"

Gazelle: If you had to fight one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses, which would you fight?

Corbyn: 100 duck-sized horses.
