It's a favorite seasonal event at Roger Williams Park and it's already going strong for the 2019 season.

When the weather gets nice, who doesn't love to eat outside? And this food truck event at Roger Williams Park is a great way to do it.

This is one of my favorite things to do at this historic Providence park.

I know most people head right for the zoo and then home, but there is seriously so much more to explore here.

From the Botanical Gardens to the Temple of Music, Roger Williams Park is great place to take the family, even without a zoo visit.

And on Friday nights all spring and summer, they give you a tasty reason to swing through after work.

Food Truck Fridays take over the carousel area now through September 27 with a variety of tasty dinner and dessert options.

Things kick off each week at 5 p.m. and honestly, it fills up fast.

If you go, prepare to walk. You'll probably have to park a little ways away and trek over.

Also, bring a blanket. There are tables, but those fill up fast. If you want to sit and eat, definitely bring your own seat.

And after you have your dinner, have some fun! The carousel is open, there's a fantastic playground from Hasbro in the area and there are even seasonal pony rides.

So if you're looking for a way to literally get out to eat this summer, mark your calendar for Food Truck Fridays in Roger Williams Park.
