Get ready to tempt your taste buds with the return of Fall River's Food Trucks at the Gates event series this summer. The city felt last summer's kickoff event was so popular, they just had to do it again for three nights this season.

So mark down the first Thursday of every summer month, because that's when food trucks will fill the waterfront in Fall River with food options of all kinds, as well as brews from local vendors and live music.

It's a night out by the water with a twist and people already seemed to be excited for its return.

The location for these food trucks nights couldn't be better. Sections of Ponta Delgada Boulevard and Water Street around the Fall River’s iconic Gates of the City are closed to traffic and lined with food trucks from PVD Food Truck Events.

On Thursdays June 1, July 6 and August 3 from 5 P.M. until sunset there'll be dozen of dining options at these admission free events where you only pay for what you eat and drink.

The food options will change for each event and will be updated throughout the summer on the event's Facebook page. Musical acts for each week will be posted here as well, though the brews and wine remain the same all season thanks to Fall River vendors Troy City Brewery and Primo Catering.

People are also encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs to enjoy the grassy grounds around the gates while they eat.

With most of the area around the Gates closed for the food trucks, parking for the events will be behind the Anawan Street mills which can be accessed through Water Street.
