Not a great way to wrap-up labor day weekend.  The National Weather Service in Taunton is telling us that conditions will exist for some flash flooding later this afternoon and tonight.   The area includes New Bedford, Fall River, Taunton, Wareham and Plymouth.

We can expect showers and thunderstorms, with downpours of one to three inches of rain in a short period of time, and gusty winds.   The NWS reminds us to be on the lookout for localized street flooding in those areas that usually collect a lot of water.   Of course, we should never attempt to drive through a flooded street or highway.

There is some good news.  The weather should become dryer and less humid for the next several days.
