Fall River Factory Workers Win PowerBall

They happen from time to time in offices and workplaces all over the Southcoast. Office pools are a fun way to build camaraderie amongst the staff, and...once in a great while...you may even win some money. That good fortune came to one Fall River factory this week.

According to the Providence Journal, 42 employees at the Taco Comfort Solutions factory on Bedford Street in Fall River hit for a millilon dollars when they matched all 5 regular numbers on Wednesday night's drawing.  If they had also matched the PowerBall...the employees would have been splitting up a $375 MILLION dollar pie!  Instead, they'll each enjoy a nice little windfall of $16,000 after taxes.

Here's the kicker...only 42 of the 44 employees played the PowerBall numbers!  Needless to say, the two workers who passed on buying tickets were a little shocked to hear the news.

Moral of the story?  Think twice before passing up those office pools!  You don't want to be the only one left working if everyone else hits it big!
