The Espirito Santo School in Fall River is a Christian learning environment where the goal is to help students achieve a strong work ethic, a lifelong commitment and to also help keep the Portuguese culture and heritage alive.

This year has been especially tough financially, of course, and while technology has been a big help for schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, that also brings about a need for technology upgrades. Though the school has been fully in-person since the start of this school year, the cost to get everything clean and sanitized so that the students can work in a safe and healthy environment were not anticipated to get as high as they have.

To try to help the school stay running, the students, family, and faculty of Espirito Santo School, in conjunction with the parish, will be holding a takeout seafood dinner fundraiser. The event will take place on Friday, February 19, 2021, with a pickup time of 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Church Hall.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

– Baked stuffed scrod with whipped potatoes and salad, $30

– Seafood casserole with whipped potatoes and salad, $30

– Kids' fish sticks with whipped potatoes and vegetable, $10

All meals also will come with clam chowder as well as a desert. All proceeds will go directly to the school to continue the amazing work happening at Espirito Santo School during this tough time.

Please have all orders in by February 11, 2021. Should you have any questions, or would like additional information, please contact (call or text) Michelle DeMelo at (774) 930-9855.
