It feels like 2020 has lasted at least five years, but despite the feeling of this year never ending, the light at the end of the tunnel is slowly approaching. Some days it feels like we are on the road to normalcy, but I have a feeling this year is not done with us just yet.

Believe it or not, there are only eight weeks left of this bizarre year. Before we know it, toilet paper shortages and curfews will be a weird memory of the past. I would love to say we have seen it all in 2020, but I can’t help but wonder what the next eight weeks will bring.

How many times this year have we said, “Well, it can’t get worse than this?"

How many times have you muttered to yourself, “Who had so-and-so for 2020?”

And how many times have you said to yourself, “I can’t wait for this year to be over.”

Here is my prediction: a year like this one will not end quietly. I have seen enough scary movies to know that the resolution typically comes with a bang.

But what could possibly happen in the coming weeks? Will it be chaos, or will it quietly come to an end, uneventfully, like most of our quarantine experiences?

I want to believe that this rollercoaster is coming to an end, but I have a theory that there are a few more hills to climb.

Here are the potential instances that could still happen this year that will leave you saying, “That is so 2020.”
