Prosecutors say 23-year-old Kathleen Allen of Middleboro was drunk and on heroin when her pickup crossed the line and hit another car over the weekend. 

That crash killed 18-year-old Monica DeMello of Middleboro.  According to the Associated Press,  Allen pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in Wareham District Court today to motor vehicle homicide while driving under the influence of liquor, driving to endanger, and other charges.  A passenger in Allen's pickup truck was also injured and flown to a Boston hospital.   Kathleen Allen is being held on $100,000 cash bail.   Monica DeMello was a freshman at Gordon College, and was home to visit her family for Easter.
