Do You Let Your Dog Sleep in Bed with You? [POLL]
There's nothing like the devoted love of a pet to really put you at ease, even on the toughest days.
For me, I enjoy curling up at the end of the day with the ol' pupper and a good Netflix show. No matter how good or bad of a day you're having, dogs (for the most part) will never judge you and always offer unconditional love.
As far as the couch goes, it's completely fine to share with my dog. There's plenty of space. However, when it's time to pass out at the end of the night I crawl into bed, that is when it gets a little difficult. I'm already a big enough guy as it is. At six-foot-four, my legs hang off most beds so I've always just stuck with the fetal position. This, of course, causes a space issue with the dog.
Yes, the dog enjoys falling asleep against me, but as comforting as it is to cuddle up against her, it's just downright uncomfortable. I'm losing sleep and having a tough time catching up.
Now before you say anything, I know what your suggestion is going to be, that I just shouldn't let her on the bed. Well, I wish it was that simple. You see, she suffers from major anxiety and needs comforting when there is a thunderstorm or fireworks. I would feel cruel making her sleep on the floor. Either way, it's a tough situation.
Honestly, I'd love to hear some of your thoughts and how many people actually let their dog of dogs stay with them in bed at night and how they cope with it.
