Disturbing Death in Dighton

The body of a 47-year-old Dighton woman was found burned on a dirt road Wednesday morning. Police were called to the area of Anderson Street which is near a new 55 and older complex called Hunters Hill.

The woman's body was discovered by a neighbor and parts of the inside of the woman's car, as well as her body, were burned, police say. The woman has been identified as Tracy Hunter, a Dighton resident.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the woman's cause of death.
