Dad Arrested After 9-Year-Old’s Joyride

A 23-year-old dad from Ohio was arrested on Sunday night after allegedly letting his 9-year-old daughter drive and wreck the family car. 

Police say the child lost control of the 1998 Honda Accord during the parking lot driving session and drove into a tree after "achieving excessive speed."   The Lake County Sheriff's Office reports a relative came to pick up the uninjured girl from the crash scene before cops arrived.

Jaron McGee was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child, and investigators apparently found outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants against him in other jurisdictions.
